Aleriant enters into cooperative relationship with EAFIT University

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. –

Aleriant has just announced a cooperative venture with EAFIT University. EAFIT is a private educational institution approved by the Education Ministry since 1971. The university is located in Medellin, Colombia. It currently has over seven thousand students. The venture has established a “seedling” program for the personal and professional growth of university students who are studying to become systems engineers. Beginning in the fourth semester of study, the students will work under the guidance of Aleriant on projects that provide hands-on experience and will prepare them for future jobs in the industry.

The university has made this program part of the systems engineer program of study and students will receive a certificate of completion from Aleriant. In addition, the program will provide university professors with new curriculum ideas.

Aleriant and EAFIT will develop joint research projects with selected professors and post-graduate students serving in an advisory capacity. Appropriate projects will be presented to Colciencias for review.

Aleriant has also committed to offering academic extension seminars for non-degree programs.

“We are proud to be a part of the development of systems engineers’ professional program at EAFIT. The most positive aspect is that we may have the opportunity to hire the students who have graduated from the program and who will be well-equipped to handle even the most complicated projects,” said Walter Chavez, president of Aleriant.
